Greens List Barristers - The Victorian Bar

Greens List at The Victorian Bar comprises over 200 Melbourne Barristers of whom 21 are Queens Counsel and Senior Counsel. Our Barristers on the list have experience and expertise in all areas of legal practice. They provide advice and advocacy services to personal clients and business clients from all walks of life and all states and territories of Australia and, where necessary, overseas.

Greens List Services

At the Victorian Bar, Greens List provides services to its Melbourne barristers and to the lawyers who use these barristers. Our experienced clerks can assist and recommend the right barrister for the right matter. We support our barristers administratively by providing switchboard services, a mail department and an accounts department. As well as assisting lawyers in choosing appropriate barristers, fixing fees and other duties, we also offer lawyers two unique services:

Online Library

Greens List provides a subscriber service online library as a resource to the legal profession and those interested, the library contains a large collection of digital multimedia content including CPD Videos (iPad compatible), MP3 audio podcasts of each briefing and over 140 pdf papers across all areas of law and all four compulsory CPD fields.

Subscribers can choose 1, 6 or 12 month access to the library which is regularly updated with the latest seminar content and papers at no extra cost.

CPD Breakfast Briefing Program

Greens List provides a comprehensive Continuing Professional Development program with weekly Breakfast Briefings held in the Neil McPhee Room of Owen Dixon Chambers, 205 William Street, Melbourne.

Our program is designed to meet the professional development needs of legal practitioners and provides the opportunity to secure points across the four compulsory fields of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Practice Management and Business Skills, Professional Skills and Substantive Law.

All sessions are priced at an affordable $55 (Incl. GST) and are held at the convenient time of 7.15 – 8.45am. Details of the Breakfast Briefings are available here and those who join the mailing list receive regular emails advising them of all forthcoming Breakfast Briefings.
