Karen practices primarily in crime, regulatory and administrative law. 

David has practised at the bar for nearly 10 years after previously having practised as a solicitor for most of the time since his admission to practise. For over 25 years he practised largely in banking law acting for 2 of Australia’s major banks.

Melanie specialises in taxation law. Before coming to the bar, she practiced as a solicitor in the tax group of Allens Arthur Robinson for eight years. She was appointed by Allens as a Senior Associate on 1 January 2006. Before joining Allens, Melanie worked for the Australian Taxation Office in Canberra.

Michael Bearman has advised and appeared for clients in courts and tribunals for 25 years. Michael’s principal practice is in taxation and revenue law. He also has extensive experience in equity, trusts, commercial and corporate litigation, administrative law and corporate insolvency. Michael is a former Professional Associate of the Monash University Law School, where he lectured in taxation law. He has instructed at the Leo Cussen Institute in taxation since 1990. He has been a reporter for the Commonwealth Law Reports since 1998 and is an original author for the Laws of Australia.

Anthony practices in commercial and administrative law. He has particular expertise in the areas of building and construction, planning, professional negligence, trade practices and owners corporation disputes.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Elizabeth was a senior associate in litigation and dispute resolution at Allens Arthur Robinson where she was involved in all stages of proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
