Summary :

In this seminar, Brind Zichy-Woinarski QC will consider the ethical pitfalls that can arise from the use of technology, such as emails, as well as social media.  Most lawyers do not stop to think about common ethical issues which can arise such as risk to reputation, breach of court orders, confidentiality and overarching duties to the administration of justice.  There will be consideration as to whether ethical standards which apply to the legal profession - the Rules of Conduct under the Legal Profession Uniform Law - should be extended to include some level of IT proficiency.
