Summary

General Law Litigation in the Federal Circuit Court – Insights from the Bench and the Bar

This seminar provides a unique opportunity to hear insights into this important and growing Court from His Honour Judge Wilson QC, the Judge in Charge of general federal law in the Federal Circuit Court, and also from practitioners.

His Honour will outline the range and scope of the Federal Circuit Court’s work in the general law area, its current procedures, recent changes to its composition and procedures and how to most effectively utilise the jurisdiction.

Following His Honour’s presentation, barristers Douglas Shirrefs, Andrew Yuile and Carolyn Symons, will share some insights from their own experience as counsel practising in this jurisdiction and His Honour will participate with counsel in a panel taking questions from the floor.
