Tim McFarlane will provide a variety of techniques and alternative approaches, which you can use to better assist your clients when they find themselves in dispute.

With many years experience as a conflict resolution practitioner, Tim is well placed to offer analysis of the vital aspects of improving negotiation outcomes, such as:

  • the importance of strong preparation in reaching an improved outcome;
  • the psychology behind both classic negotiation techniques and the 'usual' characters involved in the process;
  • what is the BATNA - best alternative to a negotiated agreement - and how to identify it; and
  • what to do when a party won't 'budge'.
