Summary

In the past few months the Supreme Courts of Victoria and NSW have been handed down many decisions that deal with significant questions in relation to trusts and one in relation to duty on the transfer of an interest in a partnership. These decisions deal with:

* The effect of disclaimer of interests in trusts
* Construction of charitable trusts in wills
* The nature of duties of the guardian/protector
* Trust distributions
*Duty on the transfer of an interest in a partnership

The purpose of this presentation is consider these decisions and their practical implications.
