Amelia practises in the areas of criminal law, family law (including child protection) and equity.
In terms of her criminal practice, Amelia accepts briefs in a wide range of matters, including crimes against the person, drugs, sexual assault and property offences. She is available to appear in summary and indictable Matters in all Melbourne and regional courts.
Drawing on her experience as a Trusts lecturer at Monash University, Amelia also accepts briefs in equity matters.
In 2013, Amelia has a Bachelor of Civil Laws with Distinction from the University of Oxford (where she received the Sir Rupert Cross Prize for Evidence). Amelia also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree with first class honours from Monash University.
Having previously practised as a Legal Advisor at Linklaters LLP in London in the Corporate team, Amelia also has an interest in commercial law. Before admission as a solicitor, Amelia worked as a paralegal at King & Wood Mallesons (previously Mallesons Stephen Jaques) in the Mergers & Acquisitions and the Dispute Resolution teams.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Amelia worked for a tech start-up with national operations in South Africa.
