Since signing the Bar Roll in 1978 Andrew has developed an active general practice in contract, tort commercial law and property law which has seen him appear in the High Court (without a leader), the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, County Court and Magistrates’ Court.

Claim by grandfather for indemnity under insurance policy in relation to injuries to his grandson.
San Marco in Lamis v. Pascon Pty Ltd [1991] VSCA (2 VR 227)
Claim by a vendor for the balance of the purchase price where it was argued that the claimant’s claim merged on conveyance.
Southern Rural Water v. Thomson [2010] VSC
Prosecution for alleged construction of a dam without a permit.
Houghton v. Bond [2010] VSC
Appeal by a local authority against a not guilty verdict in the Magistrates’ Court.
Weston v. Shire of Indigo & Ors. [1999] CCV
Claim relating to the Water Act.
Jones v. Repatriation Commission AAT 2010/1713
Claim by a war veteran for a pension at the special rate.
RV Investments v. C [2013] VCAT
Claim against a solicitor for alleged negligence.
He has appeared in criminal trials( including rape, arson, financial advantage by deception, false accounting) with results favourable for the client.
Andrew is a qualified mediator who has conducted mediations and been briefed to appear at mediations in all jurisdictions. He has presented papers to the Northern and Southern Lawyers Group and for the Television Education Network.
Prior to signing the Bar Roll he was admitted to and did practice in both New Zealand and England.
