Lindsay has a broad practice in commercial litigation with a particular focus on building and construction disputes and commercial arbitration.
Lindsay has a broad practice in commercial litigation with a particular focus on building and construction disputes and commercial arbitration. He has appeared in the Supreme Court, Federal Court, County Court, Magistrates’ Court and VCAT. He has also represented clients in court and tribunal-facilitated mediations, private mediations and other ADR processes.
Lindsay has a Master of Construction Law degree from the University of Melbourne and has published regularly on construction law and arbitration issues. He is the co-author of a chapter on regional issues in the Global Arbitration Review’s Guide to Construction Arbitration (co-authored with Andrew Stephenson, one of Australia’s pre-eminent construction law litigators).
Before being called to the bar, Lindsay was a Senior Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth. As a solicitor, he acted on large-scale “mega litigation” and arbitral proceedings, through to smaller disputes. He also advised some of Australia’s largest and well-known construction, energy and mining companies on a wide variety of claims, including highly technical contractual claims and international and domestic arbitration proceedings.
Lindsay has lectured on construction law remedies at the University of Melbourne.
