Mihal has extensive experience as an advocate in summary and indictable crime.
She accepts briefs to appear in criminal and quasi-criminal matters across all jurisdictions. Prior to coming to the Bar, Mihal practised as a Senior Lawyer at Emma Turnbull Lawyers and had carriage of a range of complex criminal defence matters including homicide, terrorism, sexual offences, violence and property offences in both state and commonwealth proceedings.
Mihal appeared for clients in a broad range of offences in the Magistrates’ and County Court, in addition to instructing Counsel in complex Supreme Court and County Court trials and appeals.
Mihal holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne, and Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Political Science) from Monash University where she also lectured in terrorism studies.
She is reading with Jason Gullaci and her senior mentor is Daniel Gurvich QC.
