Profile

Paul practises in commercial litigation and has a specialisation in contract, property and banking & finance law. Paul was articled and then practised law at Allens Arthur Robinson in the property, infrastructure and tax groups, and also advised in banking & finance and trade practices matters. Prior to that, he held senior management positions in corporate and commercial banking.

Paul holds a Doctorate in Law concerning the regulation of banking and financial services in the electronic age. He previously completed the post-graduate law degree, the Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne, and was awarded the Dean's Prize in 6 subjects, including Taxation Law, Property Law, Trusts Law, Legal Theory and Comparative International Law, and was also the student placed first in the elective LLM subject, Dispute Resolution in the Cyberspace Era.

He has a Master of Business in Accounting and Finance and is a regular sessional teacher in Law at the University of Melbourne and Victoria University. He has recently delivered conference papers on current issues in Internet, banking and property law, including at the London School of Economics and Trinity College, Dublin.

Dr White was recently appointed as the Associate Director of the Law & Economics Program at Victoria University and is author of the seminal book, "The Formulation of Efficient Laws".

He is taking briefs in all fields of commercial litigation and white collar crime.
