Nancy accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law, disciplinary tribunal proceedings, regulatory matters and inquests. She also accepts briefs to advise and appear in TAC, RSPCA, WorkSafe and VBA matters as well as Commonwealth and local council prosecutions.
Nancy has appeared in the Magistrates, Children's, County and Supreme Courts in contested hearings, contested committals, plea hearings, appeals and applications for bail. She has appeared led and unled in County Court trials. She has a special interest in fraud matters and white collar crime. She has been briefed to advise in complex fraud matters, for both Prosecution and Defence.
Nancy also instructs in the topics of criminal law and advocacy at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Prior to coming to the bar Nancy worked at Dribbin & Brown Criminal Lawyers where she was Managing Solicitor of their Ringwood office.
Nancy also has a keen interest in the sciences, having studied genetics, chemistry and microbiology at University. She is well suited to cases involving technical analysis and forensic materials.
She read with Simon Moglia (now Judge Moglia of the County Court of Victoria) and her senior mentor was Lesley Taylor QC (now the Honourable Justice Taylor of the Supreme Court of Victoria).
