Sascha has practiced in Insurance Litigation, particularly in the Personal Injuries jurisdiction since 2000, including six years as a Solicitor and over fourteen years as a Barrister.
As a Solicitor, Sascha handled all aspects of compensation and Common Law litigation in the relevant courts during his employment with both Plaintiff and Defendant law firms in Melbourne.
Sascha predominantly accepts briefs in the WorkCover and Common Law Personal Injuries jurisdiction, having provided advice, prepared paperwork and successfully run to judgment many Statutory Benefits cases in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria and County Court of Victoria, as well as Serious Injury Applications and Common Law trials in the County Court of Victoria and Supreme Court of Victoria, in which he appeared both alone and with Senior Counsel.
Sascha has not forgotten the challenges faced by instructing solicitors and maintains an understanding approach to their workload and practice demands, together with an empathetic approach to the rights, needs and concerns of clients.
Otherwise, Sascha has an interest in the development of animal welfare law and is a member of the Barristers Animal Welfare Panel (BAWP).
