Tim Donaghey is a leading employment/ industrial relations junior counsel, practising predominantly in Melbourne and Sydney. Tim has an extensive practice, and experience on the full range of workplace matters including agreements, awards, general protections, industrial action, injunctive relief and commercial proceedings related to workplace law.

Tim has written in journals, periodicals and for legal publishers about termination of employment including in the book ‘Termination of Employment’ in 2006 and its second edition in 2013, (both published by LexisNexis). Tim co-authored ‘General Protections under the Fair Work Act’ published by LexisNexis in 2019. This latter work is the first legal text dedicated to General Protections claims under Part 3-1 of the Fair Work Act. Tim also prepares casenotes and papers throughout the year, focusing on an area of workplace.
