Anthony has a broad commercial practice, incorporating a substantial practice in corporations’ law and corporate insolvency.

Anthony also advises and appears regularly in matters involving administrative law, commercial contracts, equity, insurance, partnerships, professional negligence, revenue law and trusts.

Anthony is available to represent clients in arbitrations and accepts appointments to act as a mediator.

In addition, Anthony advises and appears regularly in matters involving regulatory proceedings, civil penalty proceedings and commercial crime.

Anthony advises and appears in matters involving alleged criminal breaches of:

• the Corporations Act 2001 (including breaches of directors’ duties, insider trading, market manipulation and making false or misleading statements);
• revenue laws; and
• other legislation creating property offences.

Anthony also advises in respect of investigative procedures, foreign corrupt practices laws and extradition proceedings.

Anthony appears most often in the Federal Court of Australia (particularly in Victoria and Western Australia) and in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and Western Australia. In addition, he has appeared in the High Court of Australia and many other courts and tribunals in New South Wales, the Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia, Victoria and the Commonwealth.
