Ella practices in public, administrative and general commercial law. She brings over a decade of experience as a litigator to her practice, and accepts briefs to appear (both led and unled) at all levels of State and Federal Courts. She accepts briefs for corporations, government departments, and individuals.
Ella has advised on matters including inquiries, judicial review, local government, class actions, fair trading and human rights.
Prior to joining the Bar, Ella was:
- a Principal Solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office;
- an Associate at a boutique litigation firm in London; and
- a solicitor in the litigation teams of two major New Zealand firms.
Ella holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Master of Laws from Columbia University.
Ella is reading with Phoebe Knowles, and her senior mentor is Kylie Evans KC.
