Profile

A bilingual (English and Mandarin) and experienced counsel, Lily welcomes briefs in all areas of family law, criminal law, quasi criminal, public law and general commercial matters. 

Lily has extensive experience in court advocacy and out-of-court negotiations. She regularly appeared in a broad range of matters including family law trials, committals, appeals , contested proceedings and complex pleas in the County Courts, Magistrates' Courts, Children's Courts and the Federal Circuit and Family Courts.

Prior to coming to the bar, Lily practiced as a Senior Lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid, where she appeared in court daily and maintained a high case load of litigation matters.

Before her legal career, Lily was a broadcast journalist with Radio Australia, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Lily has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Melbourne, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney. 

Lily is reading with with Paul Kounnas, and her senior mentor is Georgina Connelly SC.
