Andrea Tate

Profile

Andrea is a Common Law Barrister, practicing primarily in personal injury and insurance law including Class Actions.

Andrea has extensive experience in undertaking assessments of damages for Class Actions, including most recently the Cudlee Creek Bushfire Class Action, Monash IVF Class Action and the Dr Lanzer Cosmetic Surgery Class Action.

Andrea is also currently involved in a number of Class Actions including the Krakouer Class Action against the AFL.

Before coming to the Bar, Andrea was Senior Associate to her Honour Justice Tsalamandris when her Honour was Head of the Common Law Division at the County Court. Andrea assisted her Honour in the hearing and management of civil trials (jury and judge alone), serious injury applications and interlocutory matters.

Prior to this, Andrea worked as a plaintiff personal injury lawyer at Adviceline Injury Lawyers and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.
