Summary

This webinar will discuss the important yet often overlooked topic of defences in international criminal law. In this webinar, we will discuss a number of international criminal law defences, including, duress, mistake and superior orders. We will explore the history and legal development of these defences in international criminal law jurisprudence, as well as discuss current issues and legal developments arising out of recent international criminal law cases, including in particular the Al Hassan case at the International Criminal Court.
