Summary

Livelihoods on the Line: Litigation Strategy in Disciplinary, Licensing and Working with Children Check Cases.

This seminar will cover the strategies and practicalities of managing a broad range of litigation in VCAT’s Review and Regulation list. Whether it is a nurse facing disciplinary proceedings, a taxi driver with a licencing dispute, or a teacher appealing a negative Working with Children check – there are some key litigation strategies to ensure you prepare for success from the start. We will cover management of these cases from beginning to end; from participation in a show cause process, seeking a stay or suppression order, gathering evidence, all the way to appearing at a final hearing.
