Anita was admitted to practice in 2003. After signing the Bar Roll the same year, she subsequently appeared for and advised clients in criminal law and crimes compensation, personal injury and workplace relations, in jurisdictions including the Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts and VCAT.
Anita spent a couple of years with the Legal Services Commissioner and the Supreme Court of Victoria as Practice Court Coordinator and Deputy Prothonotary, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in disciplinary matters and procedural and interlocutory matters. During that period, Anita was appointed and sat as a Hearing Panel Member and Investigation Review Panel Member pursuant to the Health Professions Registration Act.
Anita recommenced her practice at the Bar in 2009 and continues to practice in the common law, including wills and estates and personal injuries.
Since 2013, a significant part of her practice has involved acting for adults suffering psychiatric injury consequent upon the historical abuse of them as children in institutional settings.
Anita is a member of the Common Law Bar Association.
