As well as a Bachelor of Laws, David Risstrom holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts. He has worked as the senior research officer for the Senate Select Committee on Superannuation and as legal researcher for the Australian Senate for Environmental Law. He also undertook a consultancy to the Commonwealth Environment Protection Agency reviewing State laws for the purposes of surrendering Commonwealth immunity from certain State laws.
