Emmett began his career in the back pocket for the Richmond Tigers and finished as Assistant Commissioner for Victoria Police. His Life in the Law included frontline policing from Prahran to Heidelberg, conflict resolution, hostage negotiation, the Ethical Standards Department and one of his most challenging and enjoyable roles, as a Police Prosecutor.

In response to the recent tragic events in Melbourne, which resulted in the death of 4 Victoria Police officers, Emmet asked us to convey the following message:
I send my sincere condolences to the families of the four police who tragically lost their lives in Melbourne last week whilst serving the community. My thoughts are also with all current serving members, to my former colleagues and the broader police family.
