Profile

Patrick specialises in both criminal law and matters relating to or arising out of criminal proceedings.

Patrick has practiced for over 15 years in these areas and has extensive advocacy experience having been employed as a solicitor advocate by the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania, Office of Public Prosecutions (Victoria) and Victoria Legal Aid.

He has regularly appeared in a range of summary and indictable matters in the Victorian Magistrates Court and County Court including for clients in supervision order proceedings under the Serious Sex Offenders (Detention and Supervision) Act 2009 (Vic).

Since signing the Tasmanian Bar Roll Patrick has appeared regularly in the trial division of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

Patrick accepts briefs in criminal and quasi-criminal matters, including disciplinary tribunal proceedings, regulatory matters and inquests.
