Sam is one of the Victorian Bar’s leading commercial property barristers and is widely recognised as pre-eminent counsel in retail and commercial leasing disputes, valuation and rental determinations and general property disputes.

He brings to all his briefs a unique understanding that property is the backbone of commerce in Victoria. As a result, Sam is regularly briefed in complex litigation where the future viability of a commercial enterprise is at stake.

He appears for and advises both private and government clients and appears extensively in VCAT and the superior courts.

Sam is also a long-standing and active member of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Leases Committee. He regularly presents to the legal profession on emerging issues in commercial property litigation.
