Easy to work with, Neale is focused on providing frank, pragmatic advice and achieving commercial outcomes. He believes in communicating clearly and in a timely way with his instructors. Electronic briefs are preferred.

Neale came to the bar with a broad commercial dispute practice of 12 years in Victoria as a solicitor, following 6 years as a solicitor-advocate in Western Australia. The last 3 years were as special counsel at Lander & Rogers.

He is an experienced negotiator and has acted for clients with limited experience of the legal system through to sophisticated corporate clients in a wide range of industries.

Some of the areas in which Neale has regularly assisted clients include:

• Contract disputes
• Partner, shareholder, director & association disputes
• Property disputes and trust claims
• Misleading and deceptive conduct
• Insolvency matters

Neale appears mostly un-led, but welcomes junior briefs.

Neale sits on the disciplinary tribunal of the Institute of Public Accountants. He read with Sam Hay KC and his senior mentor is Peter Murdoch KC.
