Profile

Shakti practises primarily in general commercial and public law matters, with a focus on class actions, corporations law, construction disputes, administrative law, banking and finance regulation, and gambling regulation.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Shakti was a Senior Legal Adviser in the Public Law and Litigation team at the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety, an associate to the Honourable Justice Woodward, a solicitor in the commercial disputes team at Mills Oakley, and a Legal Consultant at the World Bank, in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice.

Shakti won a number of academic awards while completing the Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne. She has tutored public law, legal theory and trusts at the University of Melbourne, and was engaged as a sessional lecturer teaching evidence at Deakin University.
