Tom Egan

Profile

Tom has a broad commercial and public law practice.

He is regularly briefed to advise on, and appear in, matters involving:

•  property, including sale of land, leasing, easements, adverse possession and property development;
•  commercial law, including debt recovery, oppression proceedings, contract disputes and Australian Consumer Law matters;
•  insolvency, including winding ups, reinstatement applications and bankruptcy matters; and
•  employment, including adverse action matters.
  
   

Before coming to the Bar, Tom practised as a solicitor in Hall & Wilcox's commercial dispute resolution team, the public law team of the Department of Premier and Cabinet's Office of the General Counsel, and Allens' disputes and investigations team.  From 2017-2019, Tom was Associate and then Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Croft AM at the Supreme Court of Victoria.
