Nina has particular experience and interest in Sentencing Act applications for compensation (s85B).

Nina is listed in the 2025 Doyle's Guide for Recommended Insurance and Personal Injury Law Junior Counsel.

Since coming to the bar, she has continued acting for child abuse victims in trials, mediations and paperwork. She has appeared at hearings and mediations in 85B claims, and in the Victorian Court of Appeal for the victim in an 85B appeal brought by the offender.

Before becoming a lawyer, Nina worked in community development in Australia and in South-East Asia, with a particular focus on projects promoting the rights of women and children. She was the Executive Director of Project Respect, a non-government organisation which works with women in the sex industry.
