Emily accepts briefs to appear and advise in State and Federal criminal, regulatory and public law matters. She is available for both defence and prosecution briefs.

 

Her practice spans a broad range of State and Federal crime. She has particular expertise in organised crime drug and money laundering cases, as well as national security matters such as terrorism and foreign interference. She also has experience in sexual and violent offences.

 

Emily is an experienced advocate. She has appeared in pleas, appeals, contested committals, bail applications and related proceedings.

 

Prior to coming to the Bar, Emily was the Assistant Director of Organised Crime and National Security at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth). During her time at the CDPP, she managed complex and sensitive cases including matters involving war crimes, human exploitation, and white-collar offences. She also worked on the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants.

 

Emily holds a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne.

 

She accepts briefs in all Victorian courts, as well as Federal, State and Territory courts across Australia.  

 

Emily is reading with Krystyna Grinberg, and her senior mentor is Georgina Coghlan KC.
