Nechama Zwier

Profile

Nechama has a strong background in commercial matters, including shareholder disputes and corporate and personal insolvency. She also practices across a range of areas including property, Australian Consumer Law, equity and trusts, including probate matters.

She has experience in all aspects of litigation acting for plaintiffs and defendants from commencement until trial including:

• injunctions
• contested interlocutory applications including security for costs, discovery and subpoenas
• mediations (private and judicial) and judicial resolution conferences
• summary judgment/summary disposal 

As a solicitor, Nechama appeared in uncontested matters in the lower and superior courts of Victoria, NSW, Western Australia and Queensland, the FCA and FCFCOA, and both the Victorian and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunals.

Nechama has over ten years' experience in a broad range of commercial litigation from both top tier and boutique firms across Victoria and New South Wales. She also has in-house experience at ASX listed firms in financial services regulatory risk & operational compliance. Just prior to coming to the Bar, Nechama held the role of special counsel at Dimos Lawyers.

Nechama holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
